Private Duty Care

When patients have needs that do not require the skilled services of home health professionals, or when the patient's condition requires assistance but does not meet the payer's requirements for skilled care, their needs may be met by SUN Home Private Care (SUN Home Health's Private Duty Care program). This program provides the patient with the help they need to remain in their homes.

The services in this program are Attendant Care, Private Duty Nursing and Link to Life Personal Response System. Attendant Care Services include: personal care, toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, assisting with activities of daily living, housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, laundry, light cleaning, and companionship.

All SUN Home Private Care staff are fully trained and qualified employees of SUN Home Health Services. Families requiring such assistance will receive a free initial assessment by a registered nurse so that a plan of services can be offered that will meet the client’s and family’s needs.

SUN Home Private Care services are provided 24 hours every day with flexible scheduling available to purchase a minimum of 2 hours of service up to 24 hours of care each day. Services are usually purchased on a self pay basis although some insurances might cover minimal hours for such services depending on patient diagnosis and/or needs.
